Candy cane.  | Chris, our head roaster, has pulled out the super sweetness in this coffee to maximise the supreme terroir of the beauty that is the Huila. Rich toffee sweetness pervades the cup with stunning overtones of tangy mandarin. The texture is almost like toasting marshmallows gently over the fire. The texture is reminiscent of thick, chewy Dundee marmalade and bursting with sweet candy cane and Seville oranges. A cracker. A Wee Cracker. Made for Crimbo.

RRP: £14.0 - 250g | £27 - 500g | £52 - 1kg | Pomegranate. Earl Grey. Yuzu. | In the cup there is a gorgeous syrupy, sweet and sour pomegranate molasses hit. Fruit driven we also found complex citrus notes that were reminiscent of pomelo and Japanese yuzu. Bittersweet fruitiness. A supreme candidate for a gorgeous filter style coffee, the finish offers delicate tannic Earl grey florals. Scoring a lofty 88 with the SCA [ Speciality Coffee Association ] at origin we knew this coffee deserved its place in the Unorthodox special cabinet. A sensory treat.

Red Grapefruit. | True to its name, Shockd is a standout Colombian gem that has been transformed through the innovative thermal shock method. The result is a sensory shockwave, balancing lush sweetness and a striking citrus edge. Shockd brings vibrant notes of luscious and sweet bramble, weaving into tangy rhubarb, all sharpened by a zesty burst of red grapefruit. A dynamic, surprising, and unforgettable coffee that will jolt you awake in the best way possible and leave you pleasantly.. Shocked?! Shockd is our first venture into the thrilling world of thermal-shocked coffees sourced from the lush hillsides of Colombia’s Quebraditas Coffee Farm. Here, a passionate and resilient young producer, Edison Argote, works closely with his family to cultivate rare and exotic coffee varieties, including the stunning Pink Bourbon cherries featured in Shockd. These cherries, known for their striking blush-pink hue and naturally bright, complex profile, experience precise temperature shifts during processing that unleash dazzling layers of intricate flavours hidden within.

The extended fermentation honey Rhizopus process the green coffee beans undergo unlock a new level of deep dried raspberry sweetness and complex cocoa notes. To round it up, the comforting oolong notes fold into your daily rhythm, creating an anchor point in the whirlwind of the day. Reassuring, unchanging, quietly reliable.

And of course crisp and juicy apple riffs that live in your head rent-free like your favourite song's hook. Beneath the shimmy, a smooth and creamy body rounds this musical masterpiece together by giving it a steady beat that keeps you grooving long after the music is gone. Let’s just say, with this one, it will be impossible to sit still! A Honduras gem so unorthodox that we cannot even confine it to the appropriate genre. That’s because the extensive natural fermentation process of this coffee in a carefully controlled environment allows microorganisms to break down the sugars in the coffee fruit, developing seriously wild, complex and unique flavour notes. It is everything but ordinary.

Trump is an A$$ is a coffee not for the faint of heart but for the rebels, the bold, the ones who aren’t afraid to take a stand and sip something that leaves an impression. An unapologetic Ethiopian brew that comes with a punchy hit of mandarin, a dash of jasmine, and toffee undertones. Something to drink, enjoy, and realise is that the world is indeed a good place with sensible people. Revel in that thought.

This Guatemalan beauty is naturally processed, lending a velvety unctuous note that is reminiscent of coffee liqueur. Subtle but perceptible. At our tasting we also found a juicy satsuma freshness on the palate.

A coffee that keeps your feet firmly on the ground and offers the security that everything is going to be good today. The coffee has rich, velvety sweetness of golden syrup with a buttery sheen that lingers on the palate. The body and aroma of the coffee is further enhanced with deep, warming undertones of rum and a bright and citrusy lift of zesty orange peel which gives it a tangy edge and ignites the richer layers.

Mango. | Sourced from the high elevations of Muranga, Kenya, this washed gem offers lush blackcurrant brightness, the rich and satisfyingly silky depth of ghee, and a wee tropical mango lift that lingers like the last rays of summer sun. Vibrant yet grounding, fruity yet comforting, every sip bursting with flavour reminiscent of finding the juiciest berry on the bush. Autumn is the foraging high season: baskets brimming with brambles, hedgerows heavy with fruit, and the peaceful thrill of discovering nature’s treasures. That moment when you pluck a ripe berry from the hedgerow and it explodes in bright, juicy, and untamed flavours across your palate. Very Berry is this experience captured right in your cup of coffee. We are writing this with berry-stained fingers, so that is no exaggeration, but rather our full and honest truth.

Unorthodox have selected Danilo's entire harvest of natural yellow catuai to be what you know as Wee Stoater. A truly versatile coffee with classic flavour notes of chocolate, nuts and a lot of natural sweetness.

You’ll get a real orange juice sweetness of character and sensational few nutty notes. A bit like a lot of our baristas! We bring you a Colombian coffee without caffeine thanks to a process called the Sugarcane method. Our customers love it in a flat white and always remark ‘you would never know the difference’.

This process maintains the coffee's original moisture content, resulting in a product ready for roasting. The final cup offers vibrant tasting notes of goji berries, crumbly biscuits and satisfyingly smooth dark chocolate, showcasing the exceptional care and expertise involved in its production. A super duper easy going decaffeinated coffee when you want the greatness of speciality coffee without the caffeine hit. Supreme.
