RRP: £14 - 250g | £27 - 500g | £52 - 1kg Asian Pear. Sake. Kinder Choc. There are faint aromatic notes of nashi [Asian pear] and honeydew melon on the nose. A go-slow kinda sweetness that isn’t cloying or abrupt. The body is characterised by subtle notes of kinder chocolate and Japanese rice wine where fruity piquancy is perfectly balanced with delicate umami-like moreishness. It’s time to clear the mind fog because this is a sensory caffeine cocktail to help dream the world away and take you to your happy place.

RRP: £12 - 250g | £23 - 500g | £44 - 1kg Milky Way. Honeycomb. Dried Apricot. There’s tonnes of sweetness in the cup with notes of melted Milky Way bars and honeycomb ice cream. It’s a chocolate bomb for sure. Counterbalancing the brewed cup, you can expect a fragrant hit of dried apricots and an almost tamarind bittersweet character. A yin and yang performance between cocoa and yellow fruit.

This is a Peaberry only, naturally fermented Brazilian from Fazenda Paraiso. Its fermentation teases out ripe banana wrapped in golden honey, amplifying an already bold, velvety body. For the finish there is a touch of lingering golden raisin. Easily the best Brazilian coffee we've ever roasted. You are ludicrously aware of Wee Stoater but this another vintage version. Fruit driven we also found complex citrus notes that were reminiscent of pomelo and Japanese yuzu. Bittersweet fruitiness. A supreme candidate for a gorgeous filter style coffee, the finish offers delicate tannic Earl grey florals. Scoring a lofty 88 with the SCA [ Speciality Coffee Association ] at origin we knew this coffee deserved its place in the Unorthodox special cabinet. A sensory treat.

True to its name, Shockd is a standout Colombian gem that has been transformed through the innovative thermal shock method. The result is a sensory shockwave, balancing lush sweetness and a striking citrus edge. Shockd brings vibrant notes of luscious and sweet bramble, weaving into tangy rhubarb, all sharpened by a zesty burst of red grapefruit. A dynamic, surprising, and unforgettable coffee that will jolt you awake in the best way possible and leave you pleasantly.. Shocked?! Shockd is our first venture into the thrilling world of thermal-shocked coffees sourced from the lush hillsides of Colombia’s Quebraditas Coffee Farm. Here, a passionate and resilient young producer, Edison Argote, works closely with his family to cultivate rare and exotic coffee varieties, including the stunning Pink Bourbon cherries featured in Shockd. These cherries, known for their striking blush-pink hue and naturally bright, complex profile, experience precise temperature shifts during processing that unleash dazzling layers of intricate flavours hidden within.

Let’s just say, with this one, it will be impossible to sit still! A Honduras gem so unorthodox that we cannot even confine it to the appropriate genre. That’s because the extensive natural fermentation process of this coffee in a carefully controlled environment allows microorganisms to break down the sugars in the coffee fruit, developing seriously wild, complex and unique flavour notes. It is everything but ordinary.

We wanted to roast a coffee worthy of our travels to the Far East. Inspired by Ikigai - a reason for being. This coffee pays homage to the immaculate coffee shops and precise service we experienced while travelling to the land of the rising sun.

Unorthodox have selected Danilo's entire harvest of natural yellow catuai to be what you know as Wee Stoater. A truly versatile coffee with classic flavour notes of chocolate, nuts and a lot of natural sweetness.

You’ll get a real orange juice sweetness of character and sensational few nutty notes. A bit like a lot of our baristas! We bring you a Colombian coffee without caffeine thanks to a process called the Sugarcane method. Our customers love it in a flat white and always remark ‘you would never know the difference’.
