Grown on small plots of land in the majestic hills high above Lake Kivu, it's rich in sweetness, full of depth and dangerously good. Red bourbon variety beans are highly regarded in the speciality coffee scene and is known for its complex flavour profiles, sweetness and balance. As such, in your cup you will find a gorgeous fusion of melted toffee and sticky marmalade sweetness, a touch of sharp apple juiciness and a lingering aftertaste of raw cacao. This coffee really is the definition of love at first sip.

ALTITUDE: 1800-2000 maslThe Kageyo washing station was established by a co-operative of smallholder farmers in 2009 so that they could process their own coffees. They grow coffee on small plots in the surrounding hills around Lake Kivu in western Rwanda.
In their first year of operation they managed to place second in the Rwanda Cup of Excellence competition. In 2013 they partnered with the Rwanda Trading Company which allowed them to sell their coffee to overseas buyers more effectively and also allowed them to eradicate their debt for the purchasing of the washing station while maintaining their co-operative structure.
